Megan Houseknecht, Psy.D.

Hello! I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with two decades of experience working with children and families, including my time at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego. I earned my undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, followed by a doctorate in clinical psychology and specialized residency in child trauma in Los Angeles. I hold licenses to practice in both California and Maine, and I teach techniques for fostering emotional resilience, enhancing coping confidence, and healing from trauma. My mission is to instill faith, cultivate hope for recovery, and encourage a renewed love for oneself and one’s body. I work with survivors of human trafficking, in ministry with Finding Freedom International and serving as a clinical supervisor at GenerateHope. Additionally, I own an organic produce farm, first fruits farm, where we can engage in therapy while enjoying the serene views of nature.
